Apologies if this has been asked before, spent quite some time browsing for an answer before I posted this.

Recently updated my iphone 3 software and managed to lose all my music from the phone.

I am having great difficulty manually transferring files from my itunes library onto my phone. Some albums don't copy across at all and others copy 5 of 10 track files with a message saying some files cannot be found. These are the same files used previously albeit several years previous.

If its been done before, can someone please link to thread?

If not has anyone successfully remedied this problem?

Is there an inexpensive or even foc alternative to itunes out there?

the above leads me to believe that either, you've deleted the tracks in question, or your itunes library is no longer pointing to the right directory for the files, correct this and it should solve your problem.

Thx for your reply but, the missing tracks will play in itunes yet still cannot be successfully copied over to iphone

Hmmm how were the tracks obtained? Are you aware of any DRM copy protection on them?
