    Hi,

    Looking for decent, clean bike for winter training. Preferably Tiagra spec or better. Preferably 58cm frame.

    Willing to spend 400€.

    Does anybody know anyhting about Decathlon bikes? Had a look on the web and they seem to be a french company at the low end of the market.

    Im training for an Ironman having never cycled before. I bought a good specialized bike but dont want to wreck it during the winter.

    Do you think i could get away with this? given that ill be doing a lot of KMs each week.

    Wouldn't be familiar with them but I'd suggest finding out the mileage, age of the bike. Ask if it has any bad marks etc before going to see it. Spec sounds decent.

    Decathlon are a large outdoor sports shop with alot of own brand equipment. They have a large store in Belfast. Don't expect wonders from it but the equipment from Decathlon is normally good value. As a winter bike it will do the job but it may not take full mudguards. Here's a link to the online store.
