Naked dad with kids

Just got back from the pool where I showered as I normally do before going in to pool area. There was this dad in the public showers starkers with his two kids beside him. Now i always thought the continentals were known to unselfconsciously prance around with no clothes on in front of their children but is this a new phenomenon for Ireland?

whether it is or it isn't i think it's nice. i don't have children myself but i would imagine the young kids might sometimes see their parents in the nip, nothing weird about it in my opinion

Are you for real,paedophilic i taught this kind of thinking in Ireland was well gone,what ****s kids up is been told that nudity is wrong and dirty.Granted he should not have been in public area naked,but maybe he was foreign,you would want to send some time with the Germans,they dont give a toss where they strip off.But been naked around your own kids up to a certain age is fine.

Was this a communial shower in the male changing rooms. If so fail to see the issue.

If it was around the pool side, then I would be more concerned about him on show to everyone, rather than the none paedophila notion of it.

Your reaction is totally hysterical for I don't equate nudity to paedophilia in every context. Clearly the dad showered with his two kids around him in the men's changing room because they were too young to leave outside on their own. It's just that he showered totally uninhibited in the nip with the kids running around him playing tag or whatever toddlers play. There is a positive message here that nudity is nothing to be ashamed of, I get that. It's just seeing your dad's wobbly bits....I don't know

Its not only Germans but most of mainland Europeans who have a total different outlook on nudity,if you go to most bath houses in Germany they have communal showers where people from the age of one to hundred shower naked without anybody objecting,its the way they are raised as kids, nudity does not equal sex from them.A lot of kids in Ireland were (are)raised to think that been naked is bold

they children are too young to know anything about sex or shame about nakedness, so it's no problem, if they're older than 3 I think you should cover up

I think you missed my sarcasm. I don't actually differentiate between naked Germans and naked Irish. Both are perfectly entitled to their bodies. I'd be surprised if its true that Irish people were raised to think nudity is 'bold'. Your ideas on nudity are disturbing to me.

What is wrong with a parent being naked in a communal changing room with their own children? Seriously, people have to get over themselves.:rolleyes:

If people have a major problem with this - then it's far more telling about the mind of that person than it is about the parent that is naked in a communal changing room/shower with their child. Some seriously warped and twisted notions about nudity and children expressed on this thread.

Obviously the op is young enough never to have visited Mosney. Ok showers were unisex and you kept your togs on, but the male changing area was certainly clothing optional. And I don't think there were many foreigners there.
The easiest way to wash young children, at home or at the pool, is to shower with them. In the company of the opposite sex, our society dictates that we cover up. But I can see no reason to cover up in a same sex public showers.
