I predict we are going to see a revolution in the android market in the next 12 months.Sony is going to take on Samsung big time for leadership as they can now use all their resources to entice people to their phones.i habve to admit i love the ARC S and if they bring in dual core with all the entertainment network they will take stopping

Can only be a good thing for Android in reality. Sony have seen that Samsung have made huge revenue gains by being in the high end android smartphone market, to the point where the continuing success of phones like the SGS2 are crucial parts of Samsung's business.

We don't hear about many android forum visitors using SE phones, mainly Samsung, HTC and the Nexus range. Personally, i think the first thing Sony should do is rip away a lot of the stuff they put on top of Vanilla Android, i think some people might find that off putting, me included. Then, they should go all out with a proper marketing campaign, a slick looking "Sony" handset running a lightly skinned version of ICS would do well i reckon..

very true but even now the Xperia arc s is very near the very top of the market with that added Sony reliability.when they integrate their entire entertainment network Samsung will be under pressure

Nobody is denying that it isn't a very fine phone, but for some reason you dont see people coming on here with threads like "SGS2 vs SE Arc S", its mainly just the HTC Sensation and SGS2 that people consider, you dont hear SE coming out boasting about how many Arc handsets they've sold compared to Samsung, either. Put simply, the SE high end phones dont seem to sell in any where near as high numbers as the high end Samsungs, i think this is something that Sny really need to get to the bottom of..

Thats about to change though big time in 2012 as Sony takes complete control. Now the mobiles will be in sony shops and will be able to offer everything sony entertainment have which they could not do up to now.Throw in what they have always been best at camera and reliability its going to be a big challenge to Samsung and Apple
