Women's tailored suits?

    Hi all,

Does anyone know where I can get a women's suit made in Dublin?

Somewhere like Louis Copeland for women? :)

I have to wear a suit for work and I'm really fed up of searching around the shops for suits that turn out to fit badly and have cheap fabric.

Any ideas and if you have a rough idea of costs would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello Rosy,

Just to let you know that there are still many tailors in Dublin. Any tailor that can fit men should be able to fit a lady as well. That said there are some that specialise in ladieswear.

Depending on the construction method used i.e. fused (glued) interlining or stitched (aka canvassed) you can pay between E450-E900 on a two piece in a nice fine English or Italian wool.

The reason I mention this is that it is the interlining that gives the cloth shape and structure, and is where the most of the labour goes in making the suit.

You are best advised to get two trousers with any suit as they wear out faster than the jacket. The pricing isn't a hard and fast rule and it depends on if you want to go to one of the big names or use a super-luxurious cloth etc.

    Here's one well-known in Dublin:
    Classic Tailoring
Address: 116 Thomas st 8 Co. Dublin
    City of Dublin
    Phone: (01)6779347
    Categories: Tailors - Ladies,

PM me if you want a fuller list of tailors or an explanation of terms etc.
