I must admit i have mooned a few times when i was younger. On buses going to concerts etc, driving through a town we didn't know we would hang an arse out each of the windows (bar the drivers) and beep the horn. Childish but always a good laugh.

I suppose its in the same vein as farting at school. It shouldn't be funny really but it is.
