    Something about sandwiches

Quite the thread title, I know.

Anyway, I have a broken BluRay drive. The lasers busted, and now the little yellow tipped cable, that attaches the drive itself to the board/controller, has snapped (the yellow plastic on the top has come off).

Is there any way to fix this? Or will I need a new disk drive altogether?

I suppose if I want to use the drive, I'll have to get a new laser anyway so getting a new drive may not be too much of a stretch, financially.
So am I right in thinking that as long as the board itself is good, then I shouldnt have any problems replacing the drive, if I can't fix the cable?

    Cheers.
