Hi have a VW Golf GTi Mk 1 engine but don't actually know if it is 1.6 or 1.8, have look online and apparently the difference is that the 1.6 water hose is positioned between cylinder 1 and 2 and 1.8 is between 3 and 4.
My problem is that I'm not actually sure which cylinder is cylinder 1 etc. I assume cylinder 1 is left and so on but anyone able to confirm this for me please?
