Hubcap Question

Ok I have a quick question.

My bro borrowered my car yesterday and when it came back he said he had damaged the hubcap. While navigation some road works he hit the side of a island kerb and damaged the hubcap. Think the hubcap took the bump from sounds of it.
The hubcap is not hanging off and seems to be mainly flush agaisnt the tyre however kind of look like it been pushed further in/ squashed a bit against tyre is best way I could describe it.

So I wonder if this could damage the tyre - puncture etc. Or should I just try to take it off to be on safe side?

    Any help be appreciated?

    Thanks

Its unlikely to damage the tyre, just pop the hub cap off and try refitting it if its not too distorted. Check the steel ring is properly fitted in the hubcap after you remove it. They usually sit in slots in the hub cap tabs which hold the hub cap into the wheel hub.

Thanks I see can I pop it off tomorrow. If not I hope to bring it into garage for a service next week as it is due one so can ask the mechanic to have a go at fixing it.

Mind you the indicitor stalk is now giving problems. The lights themselves are working ok as got out and checked but when you go to turn right the little green arrow does not come on or make any noise until you giggle it whereas it is fine for left indicitation.
Is that a major problem? Seriously it all comes together with cars and its only an 06
