    Hi..
Does anyone know if these trickle chargers are a success on a tractor??
Was thinking of one for a tractor that's only started occasionaly.. If it sits for 2/3 weeks it needs jumpleads but regularly started and it's fine...

The one I was looking at is 100mA 12V...

Sounds like thats too small volts times amps = watts, so that one is 0.1 amps and 12 v = 0.12 watts

I think a 12 watt one giving a max output of 1 amp would be better, it wouldn't be giving out 1 amp, more like 100 to 200 mA, unless it was in brilliant sunshine, and angled correctly.

Just looking for something similar, tractor isn't used as much lately and the battery is draining.
Would something like this from Maplin be ok?
    It's a 12v 4.8w and 260mA (their number) so should be ok.

We got two electric ones, for the Landini and Massey. Do the job nicely. :)
They were a fair bit more expensive than that though I believe.

It depends on how much light they get. If tractor is in a darkish shed they won't do. If they get enough light they're grand. 2watt to 5watt. with backing diode. A solar panel with diode included is fine too. All these are around £20.
