In terms of build quality etc what's the difference between a VFC Scar L and say a G&G scar?

you can do this with a vfc scar, not with a G&G though.

The take down that is, not the water test. All AEGs can take a little swim and keep on ticking.

The VFC is the only AEG version that can be stripped down almost like the real thing. The G&G is a pain to take apart compared to it.

Anyway, from my first hand with both types I'd take the VFC over the G&G without question everytime. They are expensive buggers to get now though. Mine cost only €370 when I bought my VFC a few years back.

Cheers men, there are a few on the sales section. I have a WE GBB myself but it's not for me so thinking of changing.

Make sure and get yourself a genuine VFC gun, There's quite a few "upgraded" vfc guns with non-VFC gearsets and other internals.

VFC all the way from me too, but the G&G is a great gun also.

I hate when people think they can get better gearsets than VFC :(
    You really can't...

They are certainly good. I think that's why people take them out and put something else in...

All use a V2 gearbox; the only limit I can maybe think of is that the VFC scar uses contacts to make connection between the motor and the battery compartment (housed in the folding stock) rather than trying to route wires through the folding surface area; so might have shorter wires running from the gearbox. Not a big deal as you can just sort the wiring out.

Dunno, will leave that to someone else to answer.
