Or if you have the time and patience, break it for parts yourself, the parts will worth alot more sold seperately than the car sold on it's own.

I was offered 80 quid for it but was hoping to get a little more back. I taught the metal shell of a car was worth a few bob? The car works just needs money and time spent on it, the heads been skimmed and new gaskets fitted just sounds a little sick, the exhaust is f**ked and needs replacing me thinks.. i was intending to build a gsi rep (have original gsi skirts, spoiler, grille and front + rear bumpers) and eventually put a red top in it but moneys short. I need something that drives now..

I looks similar to this minus the tinted windows, alloys and clean looking body (rust spots)!! :pac: same colour, same car though :D

you will get more than €80 for the engine alone in that case. A scrapyard will give you as little as possible, so break it yourself if you want to get the last euro out of it or sell it complete privatley...stick it on ebay with a reserve maybe.

Why does it not move exactly? How sickly can an engine be?

Ye might sell it on donedeal don't have the time to strip it tbh and the market for parts isnt exactly hopping atm.

Ah no the car moves it works.. 7

It just doesn't sound right to me. Others say it sounds grand im not happy with it.. and havent got the time/money to fix it anymore. The sumps leaking gasket needs to be done, needs two new tyres, rust spots, rust on inside of door, leaking back window washer, two little cracks in the rocker cover, whole new exhaust needed the list goes on just a pain in the arse. Its not worth putting money into something so slow either. Its c14nz after all!!!

After all that it need to go through a nct
