Im looking to view pictures on me laptop as they are taken instead of the small LCD screen on camera.

Im using a Sony Alpha a200 (I know not Nikon or Canon :D) and I cant seem to find anything about it, is there any particular software or is it just a cable needed?

    Cheers Phil

It's called tethering and google says that it isn't supported on your model unless you mess about with firmware or try out eye-fi cards.

Unfortunately, Sony only included PC tethering with their older higher end cameras (A700, A850, A900). Even the new A77 doesn't have it. Most of their newer models have a HDMI port, so you can output the live view to a HDMI equipped TV or monitor, but sadly your A200 doesn't.

Edit: it seems the first solution on pixbyjohn's link works for the A200. Good to know.
