Hi Guys..I have a question I hope somebody can help me with..I moved away from UPC a few years ago and subsequently removed the cabeling from the front of my house...now years later I've signed back up with them for the 3 services they're offering, inc fibre optic broadband..
My question is can I do a run of cable myself and link it up to the internal box and if I did that would ordinary coaxial be good enough to carry a good signal for the broadband router..They want €80 to connect and install the equipment..
    cheers.
    Jim

You will need High Quality cabling of CT100 cabling, however they probably have an anti-theft connection in place at the nearest connection-tap to which a special tool is required to remove so highly unlikely you will be able to do it yourself.

A good quality rg6 is all you need, that's what they use.
