Sky+ remote config issues

    Hi.
At the end of my wits here with a tv, trying to setup my sky box with it. I'm trying to setup the remote control to work the tv also. I've looked up the code for the tv (Samsung Le37c530) and configured it. The remote will not work in terms of turning off the tv and changing volume or tv channel. Success... you would think.

Now if I press the Sky button, or TV guide button, it tries to change the tv to channel 037. I've tried about 20 different codes for that tv which i found on the net. I tried the "Find my code" option on Sky.com and it gave me 3 versions to use, all of which produce the same result.

The revision of remote is R8.. My head is absolutely wrecked with this. It did work on this tv before. I've been using a different tv for the last couple of months.

Anyone have any ideas? It would be greatly appreciated. before I throw tv and remote out the window :)

Doesn't have the model of tv I have. I picked one at random (there are an awful amount of Samsung models there) but it's the same thing. I get volume, but when I press the Sky\tv guide button it changes the channel on the tv

I'm gonna take the batteries out of the remote. I think it wipes it after a while> Will try again then... So frustrating... Especially as I know it worked before

Press the TV button. Then press select+green button. Led will flash twice & then press select. This will reset the function thats causing you bother.

You're an absolute legend.. What the hell did I do wrong? What does select and green turn on? It's working now. :)

Glad I could help. The select + green button operation is used for setting the remote to change over to a predetermined channel on the TV at the same time the Sky button is pressed. Yours was trying to change the tv to channel 037. What you did what reset the function to default.

you sound like you actually undrestand Sky remotes which seems to be an achievement on its own. my sky + remote has stopped working and its not the batteries. normally when this happens, i reset it this waY: tv button, then select and yellow to gether, then press 1 (for sky +) and then select again, then hit the sky button and away you go. this won't work now for some reason and has me puzzled.

Not sure about that one. Have you tried taking out the batteries & then holding the select button for a minute. Read somewhere that this can help. Somewhere else I saw that this also can work if you do the same with just one battery in.
