Graphics Card Compatibility

Will this graphics card work with this motherboard?

If not, could you recommend a graphics card that would work with that motherboard and also play Battlefield 3. The problem with my current graphics card is that it only supports DirectX 9.0 but BF3 requires DirectX 10.1 for ATI cards or 10.0 for Nvidia cards.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That card should work just fine in that mobo. It supports PCI express 2.0, and crossfire, so you could put two cards in there if you so choose!

So you basically stop using it and pay for an upgrade, to me you have bought an integrated VGA that you dont use. I am sure you could buy a motherboard with the VGA card you need and possibly get better value for money

That card will do fine for bf3 on medium settings Me thinks....
I just finished bf3 on single player with a 6970 and was getting avg 45 fps on ultra settings and getting 60 fps on high....

If you could scrounge up another 70-80 quid...have a good look at the 6950...
you wont be dissapointed..

Actually with the shipping it would end up costing €150.

Komplett have it for €137 and that comes with free shipping. Cheaper than hardwareversand and elara.
