How long for Cheque to clear?

    Hi,
    Does anyone know how long it takes to funds to be avaliable from AIB when you lodge a cheque?
    The cheque was lodged into the same branch that I hold my account and the same branch from which the cheque was drawn. It was a crossed cheque if it makes a difference!

    I only recently opened this bank account and so don't have internet banking to check.
