Any one know where I could get one of these - I recently installed a dartboard, and don't particularly want to break out ceiling to install cable - defo don't want trunking.....

Or anyone got any other ideas????

    Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

battery would not really last long enough and would struggle with punch. And you change your centre light to a multi direction, multi head fitting and direct a lamp at the board. The only battery ones i have seen don't give off much light and Ikea sell them, but they are just for a press and struggle to light their too.

well depending on the orientation of your room and the joists above ceiling etc you could try fish a wire from the centre light to where you plan on putting the light?? if theres a permenant suply at your centre light you could fit a light with a switch on it and could then be controlled independently of the centre light. stoners idea would work either fit a new multi head centre light

centre light isn't an option lads - have 8 downlighters in the room...

There is a pendant above the kitchen table, but it's 3m away from optimum light position, (diagonally) - I could run a cable and put a switched fitting up but i dont really want to go ripping ceilings down unless i absolutely have to

would you consider swapping a few of the downlighters for directional ones?? i know robus do a directional spot that fit flush to the ceiling so they dont look like a directional unless u angle them? have used them lately for a similar solution.

    Thanks.....

yeah thought of that but, the nearest spot is about 2.5m away, so it wouldn't work methinks.....

hard to come up with a proper solution with out seeing the scenario but if u knew which way the joists r what ever ran you could try fish an extra spotlight or whatever into a more suitable location, would involve some measuring and the only hole you would have to make would be covered by the new fitting

its a breton slab with an mf suspended ceiling (ground floor apartment) so there wouldnt be a problem running a cable to for example, a suitable switched fitting, but if I could come up with an alternative solution, i'd go with that... :D

consider a wireless on/off remote solution with just the sensor showing in the ceiling

    what is mf?

an mf ceiling gives great freedom so to place the light where you think is best and no trunking!

metal frame - suspended from the underside of the concrete breton slab
