Something strange with Openoffice Writer

I've created a doc in OO Writer that has some simple shapes in it.

I had to resize and re orientate some of the shapes and then saved the document. However, when I close and re open the file, some of the shapes' sizes are completely different. I've checked the properties and tried protecting the 'position' and 'size' but this doesn't make a difference to the problem I'm having. I've attached a couple of pictures to show the issue I'm having. Any ideas? Thanks.

I dont know, but openoffice is dead, the project was forked over a year ago, the new project is LibreOffice, its updated regularly, so maybe your version of OOo has bugs ? try the updated LibreOffice

Thanks for that, but would it be a bug considering some of the shapes are remaining in their assigned size/shape and some aren't?

Try the latest version in case the problem has already been solved. And last time I checked Libreoffice was the fork with the key developers so use it.

Instead of attaching a picture (which you don't appear to have done) you could try attaching a document too in case anyone might go to the trouble of looking at it.

A bug is a reproducible problem. If you can reproduce the problem by doing A,B,C in the latest version then you should report it. probably on https://bugs.freedesktop.org/
