    Would anybody kn ow where I can get a free excel template for double entry bookeeping.
    My requirements are small

    Here's my easy way of remembering double entry:

    SOFP/ B/S: Dr Assets & Cr Equity/Liab's.
    SOCI/ Inc Stmnt: Dr Expenses & Cr Revenue

    My advice is forget it, you might find a template somewhere, but it will be too restrictive and won't do important things like aging debtors and creditors. If your needs get a bit more complicated in the future, excel just won't hack it without a lot of complicated formulae.

    I'd suggest going to sage.ie, there is a link to "free software" download TAS accounts(whatever the free version is called). It's a fully functioning accounts package for free, so you can't go wrong really.
