I just got a new macbook pro today and I was wondering how do I get my itunes from my old laptop onto it? I do not have a portable hard drive big enough to hold all my music/ apps, any other suggestions?

Is the old laptop a Mac? You could use Migration Assistant.

Even if it's not a Mac, Lion's version of Migration Assistant can take data from Windows machines too.
