I'm currently considering taking up a 5 day membership option.

Can anyone tell me does this membership option generally tend to include an entitlement to play on Bank Holiday Mondays and other public holidays falling on a weekday?

I'd imagine this would differ from club to club. One thing to bear in mind is that most clubs run team competitions on Bank Holidays such as scrambles or rumbles etc so there would'nt be much casual golf availability on the timesheet. I think you would certainly be entitled to play in the competition as they are generally semi open type events.

Usually 5 Day membership includes Bank Holiday Mondays but excludes St Patrick's Day. That said, it varies from club to club.
You could try googling "5 day golf membership" and have a look at the club websites that come up.

On the same topic - generally can 5-day membership folk use practice ground / putting green / club house at weekends? No idea how these things work & am looking at joining a club offering 5 day (to get my foot in the door!)

5 Day members at our club may "enjoy the facilities of the Golf Club from Monday to Sunday each week, with access to the Golf Course limited to five days, Monday to Friday inclusive of Public Holidays with the exception of 17th March (St Patrick’s Day)".

Best to check with the individual club as each has its own rules.

Was looking at 5 day , not too many have it. Seen a 4 day and would not take it as it was a bit mean to take a day off. I'm looking too, suits me with work etc. The place i was looking at charged full green fees to play at weekend, check this out too.
