    Help!
I was in a crash almost a year ago. The TP and I both disputed liability. Eventually his insurer accepted the costs in April. I was patiently waiting to get my excess back when I got a solicitors letter in July, saying that the TP had hired him and they wanted me to pay all costs. My insurer got in touch with the solicitor several times but got no response from him. Today I got a summons to court from TP solicitor. I contacted my insurer, who says that the TP insurer are now trying to retract their offer to pay costs. I'm going absolutely mad, I have no idea how this guy is causing such a fuss over a crash that was found to be his fault! He appears to be ggiving his insurer hassle, the fact that they're going back on their position.
Anyone know what can happen?! I can't believe a crash with no injuries could be disputed for a year and counting!

are you sure thats a legal valid summons ?
sounds like a fake, a bullying tactic, quite common actually. pass it to your insurance. think no more of it.

    Thanks,
I passed it to my insurer, they have no idea what this guy is doing- they say it's very strange that this man is starting civil action when there isn't new evidence or reason for dispute. He's also saying his car's damage was over €3000- he drives a 1991 car which wouldn't be worth more than €3000! Definitely smelling a chancer but sadly it will be up to my insurer to decide whether it will cheaper to defend me in court or pay him straight out.
It does seem bullying but my fear is that his bullying solicitor will twist everything in court!
