    Hi guys.

Had a quick search and couldn't find what I was looking for about this so I'd thought I'd put it to the experts......

We are looking for a distributor in Ireland for our album so we can get some hard copy into shops. Can anyone recommend one? I tried indie entertainment Ireland but got no answer to emails and can't find a phone number for them.
I will personally go around Ireland to record shops if necessary but ideally would prefer someone else to do the leg work.

Also, is there a definitive list anywhere of record shops that use Chart-tracker?

    Thanks in advance
    GB

    Hi Mods,
Any chance you could move this to the bands and musicians forum?

    galwaybabe, it's a small country.

In the age of the ancients, when dragons, witches and wizards walked the land. There was an ancient magical text. The possessor of this text could cast numerological spells, that would allow them to communicate with people across great distances. This grimoire, was known as The Book of Phones - or to some the phone book.

galwaybabe, I've got a cunning plan. You get the Yellow Pages, look up the shops and then you give them a call - send them a sample - call them back again and ask will they take a few. Use your charm, etc. Concentrate on shops selling trad stuff - even look up places in England that sell woolly cardigans and folk music.

    Cast your spells.

Thanks for your charming input, krd. It really was enlightening but unfortunately does not answer my question at all....

What I am trying to avoid is hours on the phone.

Had a music store. Closed it a few years ago. These guys were my biggest suppliers.........they're fussy about what titles they take on ( i.e. there has to be a demand for the product).
