    Hi Folks,

I'm in the process of completing my tax return for 2010 and I have a query re the capital allowances on a rented property.

I know it furniture etc split over 8 years. my issue is around potential carry over.

I had to do a lot of repairs to my rented property last year and as a result only had a net rental income of 600. I then had capital allowances of 2000 so in essence I made a loss of 1400.

My question is can I carry over the 1400 to this years return or is that lost money?

Despite the title it is form 12 I'm submitting..

    Thanks in advance.

    Kev.
