    Hey all,
I have an antique Rolex watch that I want to get serviced and fixed up - valued at €2500.
Has anyone got similar work done in Ireland/abroad and have any recommendations?

    Cheers

Just one thing and if such things are a consideration, if it's anyway old, get it serviced by all means, but do NOT let them replace visual parts like hands, dial etc. It will seriously affect the value. Rolex collectors in particular are very anal about such things and something like a redial will knock a lot off the value.

PS if you do get replacement parts insist on the old parts back for future reference.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.
