I was going to put this in the bridezilla thread but it got away from me... might need a bit more help than that.

I don't know if it's bridezilla or not... I was shopping with my older sister and her daughter for a junior bridesmaids dress for my wedding. My sister went and bought waistcoats (with jacket, shirt and pants) for her two little boys (3 and 6 by the wedding) which matched the colour of the bridesmaids dresses.

I have her girls in the wedding but my partner has sons so we already have them as groomsment/ushers. And she keeps saying that "as long as they [her boys] are involved someway they'll be happy", suggesting they hand out the booklets - which himself has said his boys will probably do...

I really don't know where to look... I think I did say to himself that her little boys (she has an older one who'll be in his communion suit) will match the bridesmaid. It's possible I'm more worried about what his mum will say than anything else - which is sad...

Would people think it was weird? They're not technically in the bridal party... but yet they'll sort of look like they are...

And is it ok for me to suggest to my mum that she be in purple? I don't want to make it look like it's only my family is allowed wear that colour... Cos his mum was inquiring as to the colour so she could figure out what colour she should wear (so she doesn't clash) and so she could get her granddaughter something that wouldn't match (or clash I'm assuming).

Do I even need to be worried about this?

Dont worry about it at all, and definetly dont worry about what his mother will think, why should it bother her or anyone else. If you would like your nephews to have a role get some of those little bottle of bubbles in the shape of champagne and ask them to blow bubbles as the guests walk out of the church/venue.
As for your mum and his mum let them figure it out for themselves you have enough to think about.

No one would think it weird if your nephews "kinda" look like they are in the bridal party. I think it's pretty normal for all of the small family children to dress in bridal-esque getup these days, as there are so many nice little dresses and suits that are good value in the shops. I think it would be easy enough to find something for the little boys to do, Astra's bubble suggestion sounds perfect.

My brother-in-law is getting married next year, and even if my two (will be 4 and 2) aren't in the bridal party he will definitely be wearing a little suit and she will most definitely be in some little floaty fairy dress!

You should actually be happy about this, think of how well everyone will coordinate in the photos!:D
