Canvassing on Polling Day

    I thought there was no canvassing on polling day - there is a car going around the town I live in with a loud speaker and Michael D Higgins voice saying Vote Michael D. Quite annoying when you are trying to get work done.

    You should record it and put it on youtube, with a copy of todays paper. That way there'll be documentary evidence and he can be fined.

    When did the rules for canvassing on polling day change? I thought it was only a ban on canvassing within so many metres of the polling station?

    yeah there were canvessers outside pearse street station this morning also for micheal d... and he was in several pages of the metro this morning also...
