As we have noted before, WWE officials have been discussing a feud between Booker T and Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes.

The latest word is that there are plans in place for an angle between the two that would lead to Booker’s return match. That angle between Booker and Cody may kick off at tonight’s SmackDown tapings.

Part of the reason WWE is doing the feud is to promote the upcoming King of the Ring DVD set, which Booker is hosting.

How does feuding with Booker help and push further up Cody

Still hoping we might see a future feud between Cody and Mick Foley

In fairness Cody going over Booker would be a pretty big boost for him. Booker has won, what, 6 world titles and about a million tag titles, and is probably a future hall of famer. And a crowd favourite. Cody feuding with him, and presumably going over, would be a major push if you ask me. Especially considering he can't really come out of the Randy Orton one as the clear winner.

That and he hasn't been hurt by WWE's recent sh*tty booking.

While his star power hasnt been eroded by WWE's 50/50 booking of midcarders either.

Orton should have let him get the win at Vengeance

What? How would Foley put him over more than Booker? Booker is still in shape. It would eb an odd feud, but I cannot see why it would be any worse than Cody and Foley

    Agreed

Why? A main eventer does not always have to give a win for an up and comer. That is why one is a mian eventer and the other isn't.

Also it would mean much more for Randy to put him over on a major PPV after a lengthy build rather than at a nothing PPV like Vengeance which nobody watched and was added in the last minute and meant **** all.

But will Randy put him over in another singles ppv match

Also Cody is the IC champ (I know it dont mean much nowadays) but it would be nice to see him in a feud for the title

Orton's established as a main-eventer. Losing won't hurt him. but it would very much help his opponent's rise in stock. His feuds with Kofi, forming Legacy, or CM Punk or Christian earlier this year didn't help any of them. What an arsehole, but maybe it's WWE booking.

But why should we believe a Cody win over an established main eventer like Orton? is it because fans want it? Cody is doing just fine at the moment. If he were to be pushed too quickly, fans would not take kindly to it.

There has been no good reason given yet as to why Cody should go over the likes of Orton.

    THE MASK IS STAYING
"It's funny because things in sports entertainment get misconstrued. What we do is entertainment, but what happened with me was a little bit more than that. My nose was legitimately broken, my septum was horribly deviated, but it was the most lucky break I guess I ever had. I'm definitely not afraid to take it off and I've enjoyed the few times I've gotten away with taking it off and I can see it being around for a while, but not so much a major fixture of myself. I'm trying to make it like Triple H; he's got his sledgehammer and I've got my mask."

Cody in an interview with Sky Sports.

As long as he throws away recycles the bags I am fine with this.

So in 7 years time Cody will be flipping over tables at contract signings to pull out the mask?

A washed up name from his past Goldust perhaps will turn up & hit him in the face with the mask when he's propped up tied to a stretcher too.

I thought they were beginning to phase out the mask, seeing as he's been getting it torn off him a few times over the last few months. tbh his mask is the driving force for his new mankind-esque persona and he's going full out cartoon-villian style cutting his promos so i'd want it to stay for at least another year.

it would be kinda cool if he was able to colour it in though. i always thought it was funny that he's ashamed at his disfigured face but he chose not to cover it up with a transparent mask

Golddust might actually get a mention or even airtime in a Booker/Cody feud :p

^ Booker dont like bags so I guess there is a start for the feud

As for why I mentioned Foley in another post, me personally I would like to see Foley back as Mankind to feud with Rhodes
