Replace your set top box using Media Center on Windows 7. Enables you to watch and record up to four live channels of HDTV at once, and stream live HD channels or recordings to multiple HDTVs throughout the home.

    Features
    • Watch and/or record four live channels of standard-definition or high-definition TV simultaneously
    • Watch and record different channels in different rooms, all from one PC, and using the familiar Windows Media Center user interface and extenders
    • Use hard drive as a DVR
    • Familiar WMC interface

Not sure if it’s any good over here yet as it seems to be US cable only at the moment – anyone think it can be used here or any comments on its usefulness?

Ive been looking at this as well from a pc tv card perspective. thought the functionality looked amazing but the tv card works on cablecard technology which i dont think is here yet. Basically as i understand it UPC would have to give you a special card which slots into the tv card which you then put onto the motherboard. Am completely new to this and would like at some stage to build my own HTPC so if you hear any more on this one id love to know.

    All the best

    David.
