I think someone will have to run on over to O2 to tell those guys about a new phone being released tomorrow, the iPhone 4S. From what I can see on their website they don't seem to be in any hurry to hold onto their customers...

It's 9:45 on the day before the release and still no pricing information?? O2, what are you playing at?!

It's not quite all it seems though, and here's why:

    On Meteor:
    32gb iPhone 4s
    Handset = 0
    24months * €50pm = 1200

    On Three:
    32gb iPhone 4s
    Handset (Online price) = 339
    18months * €40pm = 720
    Handset + Tarriff = 1059

Then compare what you get on Three vs. Meteor, you'll see Three wins out at a cantor.

Meteor is a false Economy because cheaper tarriff trumps free handset everytime.

But with meteor you have an extra 6 months. So if you opted for Three you would need to spend another 6 months worth at about €25 per month be it with PAYG or a new bill pay option. 6*25=150.
Add that on to the 1059= 1209.

    9 euro more!!!!!!!!!!!!

    So they're the same essentially

there ya go. if three was 24 month, it would be more expensive and you still have to pay an upfront fee. Id rather not pay 339 quid.

For 24 months on three, the phone is €239, so total cost is €1199. Basically the same, but three give a lot more for the money IMO.

But don't you see that the 18month deal is better give that you get the option to upgrade or leave sooner??

    It makes more sense.

And as has been said, more bang for your buck on Three

much of a muchness really. In the end it comes down to personal preference and experience.

Most of my family are on meteor but they only offer free calls and texts on plans above 60

Realistically, im not going to be buying a new phone in the next 2 years so 24 mths is grand. Also i've heard a lot of bad press about Three. Thats why i went for meteor. Much of a muchness really.
