Cameras at Premiership football matches

    Hi Folks,
I'm heading to Anfield next weekend as a ticket holder.
    I have a Nikon D300, a 24-70mm 2.8 and a 70-200mm 2.8 (among others).

I doubt I'd be allowed in with the 70-200mm (or would I?) but do you think I could get in with the D300 with the 24-70mm lens?

Does anybody here have experience with Premiership matches and semi-pro cameras?

    Cheers,
    Steve.

edit - I should mention, I'm checking out of the hotel that morning, so what comes with me, comes with me. I can't leave anything back to a hotel and nip back to the match.

You should have no issues bringing the camera into the ground but using is another issue.
I don't know about Liverpool specifially, but at Tottenham I've seen people being told to even put away bridge cameras on a few occasions. Can only think of one match when I saw someone using an SLR. Depended on the stewards beside them really.
On the other note, they've never had a problem with me bringing an SLR into the ground in my bag. Usually they just say you can't use it.
Also was at a Leyton Orient (League One) game a few weeks ago and was told to keep the SLR in my bag. No issues bringing it into the ground with me though.

Again though, I don't know how strict they are at Anfield. Might be worth asking in the Liverpool thread in the Soccer forum.

    Thanks Hearvee.
Could a mod please move this into the main photography section please as it has nothing to do with gear.

    Thanks.
