Hi i was hoping that some one could set up an exit poll on here for the presidential election. It might give us a good early indication of who's going to win. Does anyone know how to set them up or can they only be set up by a moderator?

It would only tell you what you should already know from viewing this site - Higgins will win as he is the strongest left/liberal candidate, McGuinness will come a strong second because he is the Shinner and Gallagher will be nowhere as he is the Fianna Fáiler(which around here counts as satanic).

Even moderators can't set up polls here! If there's none made by tomorrow morning I can make one in Humanities and send it over, if that's okay with the Pol mods. I think it we best set up after polling begins though.

Polling users on boards will tell you nothing useful. Online polls NEVER match with the rest of the population. For one there are the shinnerbots that inflate SF showing on any online poll. Danas constituency is likely to be the grey vote which lives an offline life

Fundamentally a boards.ie self selecting sample is not representative. Its even less balanced than "The Frontline" audience.

As great as boards is, you won't get that here

FF were predicted to get three seats in the general election on boards as we saw what happened

Teclo has summed up what the poll would show
