App Store and iPad 2

Hi guys..... Bit of an issue. On the iPad 2 I open the "App Store" app and search for apps. Results displayed but I can't tap on the app to open it for viewing. Bit strange - has the "App Store" been updated lately? Also I notice there is no "Update All" button in the updates section. Have to do each one individually now.
