Hi,im am unemployed and consider taking up an fetac course.are fetac courses any good?.Would they be taken serious in an job application?.Has anyone personal experience and success with them?.

Almost any kind of course you do while unemployed will improve your job application to be honest. Just turning up to one shows a desire to work and better yourself.

Whilst a FETAC course wouldn't be held in the same esteem as a University degree for example, they would still be widely recognised and, in general, have a pretty good reputation.

I did two FETAC courses, I have no degree, and possible employers always took them as "proper" qualifications, and they were great courses too, I learned a lot from them.

I did a fetac course which (due to my terrible LC) allowed me entry into an honours degree. Which i completed a few years ago.
