    Hey

I'm currently on job seekers and rent allowance in Dublin. I'm hoping to move to Galway soon, and hopefully apply for the same there.

My question is, will they be asking me why I wanted to move (obviously it wasn't for a job) - and are there any other hassles involved I might need to be aware of? I understand I need to reapply for both and can wait some time for them to go through.. anything else?

Go into sw office in Galway and ask for your claim to be transfered. Be prepared for you claim to be payment suspended for a while till it is transferred to Galway. You will need proof of address of where you are living in Galway... eg. tenancy agreement or utility bill in your name. I dont know about rent allowance but once cwo sees a change of address that payment will be suspended also. Best bet with this is to go to your cwo befor you move and ask about that.
