There were two actually, one was in plain clothes. They were independent witnesses to satisfy the lady from Guinness World Records.

No-one seems to know if they broke it or not! By numbers, I think maybe, because I was one of the last to write and I had ticket 933....

The University Times tweeted this morning that the record was in fact broken.

It was an attempt to break the world record for the most amount of people to contribute to a story.

We gave out around 1000 tickets and the final number was around 940. Nobody knew until the end if we broke it or not in case people took tickets and didn't write anything

I must have met you! I was one of the last people too! :)

You weren't the person who followed up my line with "I totally banged the provost!", were you? :P

One of the SU people was typing it up while everyone was writing, it's probably been cleaned up since. I got about 6 pages in and gave up as I had completely forgotten who all the characters were :P

It should be interesting to see whether it'll make the World Records. It was a good project.

"All of a sudden the angel Gabriel descended from the heavens and serenaded the couple with Rick Astley's ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’"

    That was me :p
