Hi everyone, just wondering if any one has done this module before and if it's possible to do well if you don't attend any lectures. I've done a calc module already and got an A1 in the LC. I'm commuting two hours and my semester 2 timetable has me in at 9 for this on tuesday and thursday with my next classes being at 12 and 1 respectively. If you can spare me the lecture (no pun intended) on being a waster of a student I would appreciate it.

    thanks.

While I wouldn't advise this, I'll admit that I've done something similar with Matrices and Vectors and Astronomy and Space Science last year.

If you're sufficiently adept at calculus and adapting it as you require, you should be able to get a good grade without going to class. However, you'll really need to keep up to date with problem sheets, past exams, etc. to give you an idea of what the course entails. I'd also highly recommend making about one in three lectures if you're even trying this.

It's doable, (I've done it too, once or twice) but a good way to make sure you're managing it is to try and keep up to date with course notes, or problem sheets if they exist, to make sure you don't end up sitting in a final exam seeing things for the first time.
