Kerosene Boiler doesn't come after being on shortly before

This is a bit of a Strange issue but our Firebird kerosene condenser boiler when switched on doesn't always kick into action especially when the heat was on fairly recently.
At first, I thought it might be the water pump but realised that this is working ok as the radiators around our house all get hot when the heat is working.
I checked the pressure in the attic and looks good at 1 bar (around 2 bar in boiler)
All our radiators except one (which is always on anyhow - coz the hall is so cold) have TRVs.
Sometimes - we'd have had the heat on with the radiator off in the TV area, we'd turn on that radiator and then try and turn the heat on again (e.g. 30 mins later) and the boiler wouldn't kick into action, we'd wait a bit longer and try the boiler again and it would work.
The boiler is around 5 years old and we have it serviced every spring.
    any ideas?

Do you have to press the boiler reset button (red button) if so, it maybe a capacitor

If not, sounds like possibly a dodgy thermostat
