Hey guys. I have a plan to transfer money from the Ireland to Uk without paying paying fees. If I transfer money using my mastercard to my williamhill betting account. Then withdraw money from william hill account to my UK bank account?

    So genius or idiot?

Seriously man, you be skinned alive transferring money from Ireland to the the UK there is a lot of red tape. You be adding more debt to your card if you do it that way, they will back date everything plus interest plus what ever tax be added in the UK with interest and inflation it could go up or down so could be landed with extra unnecessary excess charges and conversion charges so basically its a silly idea.

You'll get charged conversion fee's no matter what if you change to euro or sterling or vise versa.

You could also just take it out in cash, drive across the border and deposit it.....

Unless you're moving a small fortune, is it really worth the bother of trying to evade fees? The post office will exchange it free of commission, stick it in your pocket and off you go.
How much are you talking about, how much could the fees realistically be?

Unless the people that designed the William Hill site are a bit thick they will have a mechanism to prevent you from doing this. It's standard practice and is done to hinder money laundering.

"free fees" is a trick. Sure they give you free fees, but look at the lousy conversion rate you get :pac:

    Not so anymore.

Not sure about William Hill, but in an effort to compete with one another, Paddy's and Boyles both now allow you to withdraw cash in their shops, even when the money was deposited online with a card.

You do realise that you can transfer from ROI to UK for free, don't you?

In Internet Banking choose "Standard" and not "Express" trasnfer, and you'll avoid any fees.

Why dont you after depositing the money put it all on an even money shot and then you can withdraw double the amount.

Invade the UK and takeover. Convert them to Euro.

    Problem solved.
