Ebay paypal Item not received, After 45 days

    Hi
    I bought an item from china for £75.99 stg on Sept1.
    Didn't receive it so started messaging seller through ebay messaging centre on Oct8 (38 days later).

    Seller kept saying in the post and had tracking etc, Stupidly I believed him. now paypal or ebay wont do anything as it is past their 45 day period.

    Paid with money that was in my paypal account so I can't contact credit card.

    Spoke with paypal and ebay and they are both telling me that they won't do anything as 45 days has past

    Any one have any ideas or did I just lose £75 ?

    You've just lost £75, unless the item does turn up of course.

    for the future open a dispute before the 45 day and use this method for contacting the seller then if the item arrives close the dispute this way you are covered both ways
    had to do this myself but the item arrived on day 46

    never "trust" what a seller says trust what you can prove - did you get the tracking info from them to see if it was actually sent?

    Note the item may be held up in customs
