Voting Thursday and travelling far to vote?

    Guys,

    Just wondering on here if the voting on thursday is affecting many off you's,Myself in particular, Im not gonna travel 100miles to vote and come back for work on Friday,Im sure there is a few students stuck aswel but what was wrong with having it on the Friday like the last general election?

    As far as I know, there was an opportunity to register for postal voting if you live far away from your registered address.

    I am sure this will affect the turnout today as many students and people working, myself included won't be able to vote due to the distance involved in travelling.

    Didn't hear about registering for a postal vote though.

    Why was Thursday selected anyway?
