I notice with the 'next generation broadband' patter, they go on about 'uncongested' broadband. However, I can never seem to find the contention ratio. Can anyone cast any light on what eircon (and the piggyback operators) actually mean by 'uncongested' broadband?

Contention and congestion ae not the same thing, and a contention ratio is not a bad thing. Congestion is not related to the contention ratio.

Read this to understand what they are, and how they differ.

Uncongested broadband, as referred to in ads, is mainly a meaningless marketing blurb.
