I have been offered a place on a CE scheme - at the moment I am entitled to 46euro a week off Social Welfare as my other half is working as its a means tested payment. I am just wondering if I am entitled to receive the full allowance of 188Euro approx if I take up the position on offer. I have asked 2 different public servants and got 2 different answers already :(

By public servants I presume you mean your sw office. I dont know the answer but can find out for you and get back to you tomorrow if that is of any help. Perhaps other posters may have the answer to your query.

I'd imagine you will get the full amount with an exemption but you should ask the ce supervisor

I see no reason why you shouldn't get the full rate for a single person on C.E. Scheme which actually is €208 p.w. and if you have children there is a few bob extra for each one.

You will of course loose the €46 you are currently getting from welfare.
