powakaddy service

    Hi all

    I recenty optained a second hand powakaddy for nothing as the gearbox was gone. i bought a replacement but cant seem to find a way of removing the old one and installing the new one.

    can anyone guide me through it?

    its a powakaddy freeway

    help would be really appreciated

    did you get a set of replacement caps for the locating pins? should be supplied with the gearbox ?
    if so use a snips/sharp pliers to break them off, and use the new ones to replace. use a small socket, or ring spanner, so your just pressing around the edges, then one sharp tap of a hammer will get them back on.
    dont try without new caps, even if your really good at getting them off intact, then you might be able to reuse maybe one or two!:P

    forgot to say, you will need the correct size punch to remove the roll pin that holds the clutch/wheelclamp bit on one end of the axle:D
