Parrot car kit remote not working

The remote control for my parrot mki9200 stopped working lately and I stuck a new battery in it yesterday. Now it only works sporadically, ie if I keep pressing the button rapidly it might react once. Is there any way of taking it apart to try to clean it? I have failed to manage this so far and am afraid of breaking it. Failing that, is it possible to get a replacement remote and do they have to be synched with the kit?

    Thanks folks.

The same happened mine after the car had been parked up for a while over winter. I think it's the cold weather messes with the remote. If I put mine in front of a warm air vent it would sort itself after a minute or so.

Mine is/was in use every day. It seems like it should come apart easily enough but I'm afraid to start yanking too hard at it. Just have a feeling a good clean might work.

Took it apart there a while ago, wasn't that hard, the centre knob just pulls off. :(:(:( Gave it a bit of a clean but still no joy.

So, does anyone know if its possible to get a replacement unit and how much they are? Quick google search didn't reveal much.

They are €35 euro here, have you tried re-pairing it since you put a battery in it??? To pair remote turn ignition on as screen starts to awake hold down the "play/pause call and hang up button"down for about 5-10 sec
You will also have to do this of you buy a new one.

The remote has a design fault which causes this. If you take out the CR2032 battery, and look inside the remote where it is, you can see the terminal where the board connects to the battery's face. It's a small flap of metal which is sprung to press against the battery, after a few months it loses it's springiness because it's made from very thin metal. Bent it up (Gently!) and put in a new battery. Makes a world of difference. I've done it do about 5 or 6 now and has fixed all problems.

Don't get the battery in a Jewellers shop either, some places charge 10 euro for a CR2032, you can buy a strip of 10 in a 2 euro shop for ... 2 euro!
