Figured I copy this in to its own thread to see if theres anyone with knowledge of these hateful yokes :) Most likely Nissan Doctor.

The sister in law managed to take on some water on the belgard road She reckoned lights were flashing all over the place (98 auto micra). Went out to have a look just there and the N-CVT light is flashing and its not changing out of first , so try to go anything over 20 and it's revving to bits. I'm guessing electrical? Engine seems to be running grand (well as well as it was, the cars not long for this world anyway) Any thoughts on what to have a look at ?cheers.

Came across an apparent self diagnostic sequence through some googleing and its giving one long flash of the light followed by 7 short which from what I can tell means no fault, yet the light flashes when driving it.
