    Can anyone help me id these mushrooms, they were growing at the base of a beech tree in woodland.

    the single one like an umbrella upside down is a butter cup most easily identified by caps greasy,buttery texture.widespread and common in both deciduous and coniferous woodland.gills and flesh are whitish.toughstem is pale brown.tapers upwards and is bulbous at the base,appears autumn. thats from a book
