Temp issue with Mira elite ST?

I have a Mira Elite ST in my main bathroom. It was installed approx 18 months ago and don't have any issues with it except for one. I seem to have to turn the temperature knob way up just to get some decent heat in the water.

The shower is connected to a header in tank in a vented system. Now I appreciate the temperature of the water in the header tank will have some effect on what temp setting on the shower is needed, but we haven't been having terribly cold weather lately. the tanks in the attic are very well insulate (only done in the last 9 months) as well as the attic floor. The only time the shower was taken out after initial installation was when the bathroom was being re tiled. I've attached a photo of how high the shower temp needs to be set for a 'reasonably' hot shower. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

    K.

Have you cleaned the internal filter.... This is where i would start. Its the litte white circle in the shower the size of a euro.

make sure the water and power is off.

Thats actually true. Ment to comment on that but looking at the picture late. Mine does not usually kick in till the 1 o clock mark

Only thing is as, soon as you hit the red, the water pressure drops too. Does this mean come the cold winter I'll have it wound up to the max?

its need to heat the water more so the water rate is reduced in order to heat the water to the desired temp

Joey the lips has that sound advice.

Same happened me last January when my attic tank froze.
My neighbour cleaned the internal filter, easy to do, a bit pf plastic and dirt had clogged it.
Piping hot water immediately it was cleared.:D

It's on my 'to-do' list for tomorrow, I promise ;)

Pulled the filter out today and it was pretty much clean. Some tiny particles in it alright, but nothing anywhere near blocked.

I'd like to add how much I hate those flimsy brackets for the screws on the main shower cover
