Miss Gunner and myself heading to Reykjavík soon for four days

Only thing so far we want to do is the Blue Lagoon. May do a trip to see the aurora borealis. Looking for places to eat and drink and things to do while we are there.

Any suggestions and with the state the country is in are prices still crazy?

I know it's a few years ago now but would be interested to hear how you got on as me and the missus are heading there for 4 days in a couple of weeks.

I'm recently back from a short trip, had a great time. As far as seeing the city, you'd probably only need 1-1.5 days. The rest of the time I'd rented a car and did a couple of day trips, around the golden circle and snaefells peninsula (definitely spelled that wrong).

How necessary is a car if you wanted to see outside of Reykjavik?
What are the best travel options if you don't have a car?
